Through an Alliance Agreement, OSHA and CCAR provides its affiliates and others in the automotive industry with information, guidance and access to training resources that will help them protect their employees’ health and safety. The Alliance’s goals include working together to provide expertise in developing information on the recognition and prevention of workplace hazards.
Sponsored by EPA in partnership with industry and academic institutions, environmental groups, and other agencies, Compliance Assistance Centers help businesses, colleges and universities, local governments, tribes, and federal facilities understand and comply with federal environmental requirements and save money through pollution prevention techniques.
The North American Automotive HazMat Action Committee (NAAHAC), CCAR® and ShipMate™ have all worked together to create specific automotive dealer training programs to make dealers and their staff aware of the requirements of the handling and transportation of DOT hazardous materials. NAAHAC is also engaging the Hazardous Materials Training Group within the U.S. Department of Transportation to help with their review and support for the program.
