EPA Compliance Assistance Centers

EPA Compliance Assistance Centers help businesses, colleges and universities, local governments, tribes and federal facilities understand and comply with federal environmental requirements and save money through pollution prevention techniques.

The Centers offer easy access to plain-language materials and other resources on environmental compliance through:

· Web sites targeted to industry sectors
· Telephone assistance
· “Ask the expert”
· Email discussion groups
· State Resource Locators that offer a wide range of topics on environmental compliance information for your state.

Compliance Assistance Centers are sponsored by EPA in partnership with industry, academic institutions, environmental groups and other agencies.

OSHA’s Alliance Program

Through the Alliance Program, OSHA works with groups committed to worker safety and health to prevent workplace fatalities, injuries, and illnesses. These groups include unions, consulates, trade or professional organizations, businesses, faith- and community-based organizations, and educational institutions. OSHA and the groups work together to develop compliance assistance tools and resources, share information with workers and employers, and educate workers and employers about their rights and responsibilities. Alliance Program participants do not receive exemptions from OSHA inspections or any other enforcement benefits.
