If you live in the Maryland area and are part of the Automotive Repair and Maintenance industry, take advantage of this training event!
The American Chemistry Council (ACC) Foundation for Chemistry & Initiatives (FCRI) in partnership with PPG is hosting an in-person classroom training on the identification and safe use of chemical hazards for workers in the automotive repair and maintenance industries. The training will use perchloroethylene (perc) as an example. Perc is commonly used as an automotive parts cleaner/degreaser. Training modules will focus on the hazards of perc, controls to limit exposure, hazard communication, and resources for safe use. Attendees will also walk through a discussion scenario on hazard identification. There is no financial cost to you as this is sponsored by an OSHA Susan Harwood Training Grant.
The training will be held on May 31 from 8:00 – 11:00 AM at the PPG National Training Center in Glen Burnie, MD. Interested participants can register at this link: https://lnkd.in/dE3X6hFk
