It was developed as a supplement to the manual Environmental Compliance and Pollution Prevention for Small Quantity Generators, which is intended for any small and medium size business and institutions that generates hazardous waste. This guide has been written specifically for the auto body repair industry to help auto body shops understand and comply with these environmental laws and regulations. This guide also provides information regarding best management practices, pollution prevention and energy efficiency that can help shops further minimize human health risks and environmental impacts, and save money.
This guide is also designed to help auto body shops complete a new Environmental Report Form for Auto Body Shops required for most shops under a new program called the Auto Body Shops Environmental Results Program (ERP).
