March 26, 2018 – CCAR (The Coordinating Committee For Automotive Repair) is pleased to announce the launch of a new website, www.HazmatU.org. This new user-friendly site has been specifically designed to be mobile-device friendly, easier to use and easier to access for all of CCAR’s HazmatU best practice information and training. HazmatU is an e-learning program that was created to ensure that employees and students in the automtotive industry have a clear and accurate understanding of Hazmat (Hazardous Materials) shipping regulations. CCAR has also created several short online videos that explain more about what HazmatU offers. About CCAR CCAR was established in 1994 as a non-profit organization that works internationally with the automotive industry, original equipment manufacturers, career and technical schools, collision and automotive repair shops, governments, municipalities and other organizations to provide best practices information and training. CCAR provides training programs to address Hazardous Materials Handling requirements as outlined by the United States Department of Transportation (DOT) and by Transport Canada (TC) to keep automotive shop employees and students properly trained, safe and in compliance with current regulations.
